"Imagine if you found people that linked up like a heart beat, like one beating thing. Like a wave listening to the moon for the time to turn around. Where you stop asking 'why doesn't anyone understand me' but rather 'where do I end and they begin?' This I believe should be a top priority if you seek joy in this life. Find your beat and sync up and move like a migrating flock of birds, possessed by the rumor of summer down south.” Jedediah Jenkins
These are my people. Here is a relatively uncurated documentary of shenanigans and friendship.
I remember for years praying for friends whose hearts' beat something like mine. I felt unknown, and the efforts I made to connect felt futile or overlooked. I am thankful for that time of hoping for friends who could see life and love in compatible ways to my own because it taught me so much about befriending people that I didn’t necessarily have an instant connection with, and grew my compassion for the disheartened and lonely. It’s a treasure and a treat getting to adventure and friendship with these kooks, laughing all the livelong way, saying the same jokes a million times and still dying laughing just as hard as we did the first time it was said. Looking for beauty in people and places everywhere we go and each of us finding it in different ways. We are a collective of wild and free, joyful and fun, spontaneous, witty, unfiltered, random and unique humans. Thanks for loving me and being my friends, wildlings. You each add a sweetness and spice to my life, and have a piece of my heart that was missing before I found you gals. XO, teratoma forever.
